Do I need to purchase a meal plan?

Meal plans are mandatory for students residing in any Residence Hall on campus.  Students living in off-campus housing may also purchase a meal plan, but are not required to do so. There are two plans to choose from; the Anytime Plan and the Loyalty 50 Plan.  

The Anytime plan is designed for those that will eat most of their meals on campus. This plan is provides unlimited access to the three traditional dining halls located at: Cobeen, McCormick and Straz, and eligible for meal equivalents at the Brew, Marquette Place, Erbert & Gerbert's, Mashuda Diner and Schroeder Cafe Italiano. 

The Loyalty 50 plan is perfect for students that will eat one meal a day or less on campus. So if your Golden Eagle likes to cook, but wants to add a little variety to their meals, or sometimes just doesn't have time for meal planning and preparation, then the Loyalty 50 is perfect for you. A maximum of two Loyalty 50 plans can purchased in a semester. The plans do not expire until the end of the school year in May.

What is Marquette Cash?

Marquette Cash is the campus debit plan that can be used for purchases in all dining services locations.  Monies are loaded onto the student's account.  This can be done at a campus kiosk or by visiting HERE   Marquette Cash can be easily accessed by students through their Student ID.

Can I change my meal plan if it does not fit my needs?

Once the semester begins, student have two weeks in which they are able to change their optional meal plans. Mandatory meal plans can not be changed.

I live off-campus, where do I buy my meal plan?

If you live off-campus, you can purchase a meal plan through the Office of Resident Life (ORL). The easiest way to contact ORL, is via email at orl@marquette.edu

How are special dietary requirements addressed?

We have a number of resources available to students with special dietary needs. Students requiring special diets are encouraged to reach out to the Director of Resident Dining Operations, Donato Guida, at (414) 288-5768. By doing this, their specific needs can be discussed and a plan to address them will be put into place. All of our Dining Managers have been trained and certified by AllerTrain™, and are experts in how to address food allergies, intolerances and sensitivities. For students afflicted with one of the eight most common food allergies, we have added a Simple Servings station at Cobeen Hall that serves complete meals void of these allergens. Learn more

I'm a commuter student, can I purchase a meal plan?

Optional meal plans are available to students who live off campus, commute, as well as to faculty and staff members.
